What might have been?

I had a dream of you last night. We were back in the states and apart from one another. You worked at an office type store, and was seeing someone else that I had to compete with via letters and music. I would slip them to you while you carried on a relationship with the other man. I did have one thing going for me though...you lived a few houses down from me, and I would periodically stop by to help with whatever. I was going by the store and leaving things as an excuse to see you. Of course, you were totally on to it and went with the flow and utimately we got together. I do believe that if our senario didnt work out the way it did, that I somehow would have still found you and pursued you in a manner to win your heart.

Just an interesting tid-bit from the hubby. Do you think you still would have ended up with the person you are with now if the situation had been different?

I'd like to think that we would have, given that he and I met several years before and it didn't work then. Since we didn't get the hint the first time, I think we were brought together for a second round of trying and it worked out that time. But you know...maybe we would have just kept running into each other coincidentally as if to keep being discreet until we saw the obviousness of it all.
