Going Darker(.) (?) (!)
I am interested in some lip stuff. Have you used any lip or face product with collagen in it? I would like to try some for fun, but want someone to tell me what they thought about it before I request some.
Okay, icky story:
I was going the shower after a long day of convoys. I got in there, turned on the water, and began soaping up. I stood there a minute only to notice that I had forgotten all my hair products! So (and I don't suggest you do this at home) I used soap to wash my hair and just put conditioner on it when I got back in the room. My nasty smelly hair was replaced with clean icky hair. It was eeew, but clean.
As you may have noticed since I've been here I have had quite my share of coloring. This is due to having brought some hair highlighting kits with me from home, being in the right place at the right hair salon and them having color, and finally to the fact that I've gotten way to bored with how I look over here and I can't change a whole lot beside cut or color and the minimum make-up rules still apply. I usually wear concealer if I have any obvious red spots on my face and mascara. For some reason when I look in the mirror and see something that looks at least one step up from the Corpse Bride I feel a little better about myself and am proud that the desert life has not taken all of my youth.
Okay, so back to hair...I am going to go back to a darker color. I got low lights when I was in Germany that were actually a very brown color in my opinion, but since my hair is so light it has soaked up most of the color already, or either something in this water takes the vibrance out of it. Probably both: dark color over very blonde + bad water = dull hair. I'm sure that's as constant a formula as a2 + b2 = c2. So I have this one box of dark hair color that I am going to try around Halloween. It will by a scary suprise for then if it doesn't turn out good and that's going to be my excuse. I've tried going gradually darker so it isn't too much of a shocker.
What does your hair look like right now? I want details! Cut and color?
Are you letting it grow? Are you about to cut it off? Are you getting highlight or lowlights? Or are you doing something crazy with it for Halloween?

My hair is currently all one length very close to my shoulders. It is sandy to dark blonde at the moment. I am growing it out and trying to get it close to its normal color at least for this fall.
I usually wear it down, but am going to start pulling it back in a very polished bun as soon as it gets long enough.
Funny you should ask... as I just posted a picture of my hair! ;) I got a perm back in March, but it's old and yucky now so I straighten it. I have razor-cut layers. I go back and forth about whether or not I should keep it a little shorter until the perm grows off, but I would probably be really unhappy with short hair. I haven't colored my hair in a long time, and I can prove it by the gray hairs that I have here and there!
My hair is currently about an inch or so past my chin with long layers. It is also in BAD need of a trim/cut. You'd think since I finally found someone I trust to cut it I'd go more often, but no, I'm cheap and let it grow until I basically can't stand it - it's quickly getting to that point! My hair is a light brown with some blonde (and very faded red) highlights that are grown outing and need to be redone. I'm having a hard time convincing myself that it's a necessity when I'm trying to finish paying for my trip....
I got my hair cut back in march and it was really short(picture Demi Moore - Ghost). I love short hair as you can wash and go really fast. Unfortunately, I got tired of the look and I have been growing it out. Usually it grows pretty fast, but it has taken forever to get longer. Right now it is in between short hair to bob stage. Ahh, and the color is my own. Brown/light brown.
I would like you w/ dark hair. I am thinking about highlights... I haven't done anything to my hair since I cut off 13 inches and gave it to locks for love. Pre- and Post-natal vitamins made it grow so fast, I figured, what the heck! I am not afraid of drastic changes. it always grows back!
