...back in mosul
I have been home on emergency leave for the past 2 weeks or so, but am now back in Mosul for a short while. My father passed away Feb 28th due to a fatal accident at work. William met me in Kuwait and was with me from there on. He was the much needed comfort that helped me through it all. Please keep us in your prayers as this is still a delicate time for me and my family.
I wish not to dwell on the details of death, but instead to mention a few joyful things that my father added to my life. He is 1 of 2 people that brought me to life, and for that I am forever thankful. He instilled a love for dogs and showed me the southern art of eating peanuts in Dr. Pepper when I was little. He was supportive in my endeavors from dancing to the army and was a loving father. He lived life simply: he worked in construction and other manual labor jobs; he had a house all to himself which was shared with Baily (my dog) several nights a week; and he enjoyed eating meals and spending time with his family with the occassional hunting and fishing trips on the weekends. Thomas Wayne Griggs, Dad-o, you will be greatly missed.

I am praying for you and your family.
There is never anything good to say in these situations. Just know that you are loved and that everyone will be keeping you in their thoughts and prayers.
Honey, I am so sorry. I have been way too wrapped up in all the stuff with my life to check up on you, and to find this just makes me feel so sad for you. I'm sorry for your loss and wish I could be there for you.
