creepy orange eyes!!!

I have been out a bit this week so I haven't had much time to write. Well, Friday was supposed to be my slow day only to be abruptly suprised by a note on my door stating that I was choosen to go out Friday morning! Those *&#(Y%*@! Anyway. I was talking to William and ended up rushing him off the phone when I found the note b/c my usual amount of sleep is 7-8 hours. That way I am absolutely on top of my game and don't fall asleep even if I am bored. I know that looked a little shady, but given the situation I think it is permissable. *Sorry Boo* So I woke up early to go on this mission. When we got there we did some training on how to transfer someone who is injured into another vehicle (along with other passengers if the vehicle is disabled). I am not that heavy, but with 30 extra pounds of armor on I weigh a little more than a ton of bricks. It was good training, but exhausting.

We got back home safe and sound and took a long evening nap only to have to get up and help out with mail duty. I swear every time I have been on mail duty here lately I haven't gotten any packages, but every time I am not I get boxes. Isn't that silly. I have gotten tons of yummy Halloween candies through the mail thanks to many benefactors. Thank you all, and thanks Granny Griggs in advance for buying (again) that toothbrush that is going to keep my teeth from falling out. There is no floride in the water here besides the fact that you really shouldn't put anything other than bottled water in your mouth! And today there is a dust storm. They say it is common in the rainy season. It is going to start raining more and the weather will become rainy and dusty much more often now -- crap. Good news is that I am wearing a Halloween hat at least part of the day on OCT 31st. Tune in again after Halloween to see a photo :)

Funny, but scary, and true -- I got in from mail duty and had a last snack of spicy tuna and crackers before bed in the day room. The TV was on and the original Amityville was on. It had the creepy obvious music that if you are a fan of scary movies, that is the sound you always hear before something bad happens. So every time I hear that sound my tummy becomes anxious and I feel uncomfortable b/c you are trained to be ancy when you hear that. So on the TV the scene they looked out the window to find a pair of glowing orange eyes! Honestly it isn't that scary especially since that was then and this is now. There are so many more special effects and scary costumes that they used now. Here is the catch...I got in my bed to go to sleep only to see those same orange eyes on the back of my locker! AHHH! It creeped me out! I turned my little flashlight on it to find that it wasn't something that had jumped out of the movies and into my room, but instead a glare from some of my magnets that hold my pictures up. Wheew -- that was a close one.
SLEEP TIGHT; DON'T LET THE BED BUGS BIGHT!
