Gobble, Gobble...

A good tailor, a steamer, and a box of baby wipes...

There is a great article on Women's Wall Street -- "Three Things No Stylist Is Ever Without."

I have no experience with a steamer. If any of you have, I would like a few comments of how you feel about its pricelessness or uselessness. If this thing
is fantastic, I may just have to put it on my Christmas List.

William is going to try to cook a bird for Turkey Day this week. I may be trying to cook green bean casserole and/or chicken & dressing. I have been given instructions by the grannies so as long as I can follow directions it should be very tasty.

Online Shopping Anxiety

I have online shopper's anxiety! This is a good, yet horrible thing. Good because I haven't spent thousands of dollars of stuff that I really could do without. Bad because I reallly have found a few incredible deals and great items that would really be used everyday or weekly... I have a new job, I am proud to report. I work a short 5 minute walk from home to work for a contracted company that helps the military. So I am doing similar things to what I would do in uniform, except it is a real job where I make my own hours, wear what I want (given that it is career savy), get American holidays off, and usually get to have lunch with my hubby b/c he works a few floors down from me! I am very pleased with how things are coming together. I am still drilling once a month with a reserve unit here, and that is working out nicely too. We don't have a dog yet, but we have really been searching hard. We even went so far to begin to consider taking a mut. We heard of a friend's neighbor who just had a baby who decided that the dog and baby, with the fact that the husband was away 25% of the time, would be too much work and wanted to give it away to a good home. So we call and set up an appointment to interview the dog, but just before we went the people backed out. So we are still hound hunting and/or poodle searching. We are also looking for cars, but only one that will last 2 years. A popular thing to do here is to buy a used, German specs BMW/Mercedes/other European vehicle that is older, yet runs fine for travel around the area or a few hour distance away. So that's the update for today :-)
