I LOVE MY HUSBAND!

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!
In a very short time we will be embracing!

At the moment it is a hurry up and wait process.
He is wrapping up things at his work and preparing the house
for my arrival! I am so excited! I will be seeing a sneak
peak at my new home after this tour. I'll take plenty
of pictures (that I can post -- little;) and will post them
after I get back.

I am expecting lots of quality time, a mini extended weekend
getaway, and visiting interesting parts of surrounding
Heidelberg. I have a few things I want to shop for, but
ideally I won't be spending much money on clothing or
jewelry I can't wear until I get back. Okay, maybe a little
something, but not much.

I almost bought a rug today, but decided to wait. I just
wasn't sure about it so I waited. If I don't absolutely
have to have something I try not to buy it (since I have
such a collection of things back home). I do want one
before I leave here, but I'm still a picky shopper and won't
settle for an ugly rug or a bad price. The trick to shopping
here is to visit and look around at least one before you
begin purchasing and/or negotiations. If they like you or
are friends with you they are more likely to give you a
better deal. So keep that in mind (next time you are in
Iraq) thrifty shoppers.

Hope all is well with everyone and the hurricane storms
didn't damage too much. I am feeling a little better every
day that I get closer to seeing William! So I figure I
will be feeling like a million bucks when I get there!

"I Got Her Fixed Up..."

...well i was having the strangest dream last night. i dreamed instead of you going to see william in germany you came home instead. it was because you decided you were not going back to iraq and you knew we would help keep you from going back there. well you were here and we had you hid somewhere in carbon hill close to the rail road tracks cause i could see and hear the trains. i had left you there with your little sis terri, she was going to help deguise you so no one would know who you are. i went to get supplies..hair dye, make up, ect when i came back you had your back to me and terri says "i got her fixed up, no one will know who she is" then you turned around and you had a cartoon snoopy head, not a mask but a real cartoon head !!! i asked her how she done that and she said with make up. then i said dont you think that will draw attention to her, for goodness sakes she has a f*ckin cartoon dog head. you were not saying anything then bailey woke me up in bed with me.

This is the funniest thing I've heard in a while. My aute had this dream just a few days ago. And Bailey is my doggy! hahahaha

Bebe Fashion

I love those jeans!!! You should invest in one completely incredible pair of rhinestone jeans for the fall!

A Tea Set and 2 Tee Shirts

I mailed home a tea set and 2 tee shirts for the family just a few moments ago. So keep your eyes open for the stuff. It cost $9.90! Is that good or bad? It's probably okay considering.

Not much is going on today. I've felt a bit nauseous this morning and went to sick hall. They took blood pressure, pulse, make me pee in a cup, and poked on my stomach until I almost puked on them... they said everything looked okay. I was given some medicine to get rid of that terrible feeling and an IV was suggested to get more fluids in my system, which I immediately assured the nurse that I could drink more water instead. I must have looked/sounded convincing b/c she let it slide. I hate needles and I would have hated to get poked this morning just for being nauseous. So I took my medicine and proceeded about my day. I'm a bit drowsy now, but the sick feeling has left me :)

The count down continues with only 7 days left!!!

Proud To Be an American

There are several organizations that send "Letters from Home" to deployed soldiers. Our group got some today and they are just precious. Kids or veterans or those who have loved and/or lost someone in the military write these letters.

Check out a few of their sites:
Bucktail Chapter 720
Letters From Home

I'll give you a taste of one of the letters:
Dear soldiers,
How are you guys doing out there? Is it cold or hot where you guys are at? What kind of food do you guys eat? Do you guys take showers? ... We appreciate what you guys have done for our country too and are proud of you guys. I always wanted to be in the Army and Marine. ... What do you guys use to go to the bathroom? Do you guys go in the woods or what? (just wondering)
Sincerely,
Sarah*

Isn't that the funniest thing you've ever heard? Just for the record I only "go" in the woods when I have to. :P
